1. Mohamad Faiz Razali is a multi-talented athlete. He made his university proud when he was awarded with the ‘Sport Leadership 2018’ in the Student Activity Award event organized by Student Development Department of IIUM. In April 2018, he held the position of Programme Manager of the first ever Rugby Tournament in IIUM Kuantan Campus. Apart from the leadership role as President of Dental Students Society (DENSS), he is also very active in rugby sport and has been a member of Kuantan Palmyras RC.
His greatest achievement was having his team qualify as quarterfinalists in UMP 10’s in 2017. Faiz looks up to David Pocock, an Australian professional rugby player as his idol. Despite sustaining injuries to both his knees, he someday aspires to join the Majlis Kebajikan dan Sukan Anggota-Anggota Kerajaan(MAKSAK) in Kelantan.

2. Nur Alyssa Abdul Rahman’s passion for art is boundless as she has explored a wide spectrum of art which includes sketching objects and landscapes, portrait-sketching as well as sculpting. She has done various miniature sculptures, sketching of buildings and objects along with her cousin who shares her passion. She usually takes 2-3 hours to complete her masterpieces! Her proudest moment is when she was given the opportunity to sketch a portrait of one of the lecturers in her university. She is truly honoured and grateful for the opportunity.

3. Mohd Aliff Haidin was deemed as ‘hopeless at drawing’ when growing up. After putting in tons of effort in hopes to contribute to a contest entry, he was turned down by his classmates. That moment was a turning point in his life as he decided to practice drawing and pursue his passion. In 2017, he participated in the NDSSC’s calligraphy competition. He aspires to one day showcase his masterpieces in an art exhibition once completing dentistry. Do check out his artwork @gadients

4. IIUM’s pride is definitely ‘The Jentayu’. They are a traditional dance team consisting of initially 8 male students in 2013 and now have expanded by leaps and bounds. This team was the brainchild of Asst. Prof Dr Widya Lestari. This team is trained by a special choreographer. Their greatest achievement was being awarded Champion in NDSSC’s Talent Show in 2017. They hope to sustain the team and continue performing in events and competitions in the future.

5. Norul Madihah Ashaari, Siti Nursyafiqah Razi and Hajar Ar Rahmah Nasri are IIUM’s terrific trio! They all show excellence in their leadership skills as their are actively involved in Mahallah Representative (MRC) Council Session in 2017/2018. Madihah, Syafiqah and Hajar were entrusted with amanah as the President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively. Besides that, the trio got a chance to expand their leadership horizons by participating in the Global Leadership Program 2.0 which was held in Japan.
They also got a chance to visit the Showa University Dental Hospital. Impressively, all 3 of them sustained their contribution to the MRC this tenure by soaring higher in the council. Madihah is now the Treasurer of Student Representative Council (SRC), Syafiqah is Assistant Head of Dakwah & Training Bureau of DENSS and Hajar is the President of MRC Mahallah Ummu Kalthum.

6.Izzah Abdul Rahman is a true artist at heart. She loves exploring her artistic talent in her leisure time and enjoys making birthday cards for her friends and family the most. She describes that discovering watercolour paper was truly a life-changing event for her. She loves diving into her artwork without any expectations and never stresses out.
