1. Yong Meei Yeng is a talented artist and entrepreneur. She is the co-founder of an art business - Artventure.my where she conducts acrylic painting workshop to spread the joy of painting. Her artistic talent and manual dexterity also helps her greatly in dentistry. One of her most notable achievements is when she won the first prize in the Dentsply Global Clinical Case Contest among all dental schools in Malaysia. She made Malaysia proud with her six unit direct anterior veneers restoration when she participated in the competition in Singapore. Subsequently, she represented Asia in the Global Final in Germany. In addition to that, Dentacle.my came into picture when Meei Yeng tried to resolve the pain pointed out by both patients and dentist. Dentacle.my is the brainchild of market inefficiency caused by lack of data availability. It acts as a data consolidation platform for both parties; providing information, reviews and appointment scheduling service online. However, without a programming background, Meei Yeng had to learn the basic of programming from scratch and modify the existing framework to adapt to her needs. She firmly believes in overcoming, adapting and improvising!

2. Ian was a professional magician when he was in high school. Among the many hobbies he had, he felt that learning the art of magic was something that shaped him the most. He improved in public-speaking, perfected the art of managing a crowd and practice an art tirelessly until he achieved perfection. Pursuing magic made him spontaneous, confident, and outspoken which he finds useful for his career as a dentist as it involves talking to people all the time. Currently, he has stopped performing. However, this magician can still make your toothache disappear! Besides that, emceeing events is also a talent of Ian’s. It all started when he was forced to be an emcee for a class event during his degree. One event led to another and in the end, he was the university’s default emcee for major events. It was a great opportunity as he had close encounters with the likes of Tan Sri Tony Fernandez and Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh. He has since tried emceeing for events outside of university. His portfolio includes launchings, conferences, dinners, and weddings. He ventured into voice-overs as well, and he was the voice for one of Mahsa University radio advertisements that aired on national radio!

3. Wong Hong Zhang is well known for zooming through the faculty, appearing in a flash, always in a haste. “It’s power walking, not jogging or running” he says. He wasn’t the fastest sprinter, however, he did excelled in long distance. He placed 5th in solo, and his team overall placed 3rd during the NDIVG 2018 5 km run. This high spirited young man is famous for his tenacious spirit and always gives off positive vibes. He always has a smile on his face. He sure did impress us all when he power-walked his way to the peak of Mount Kinabalu on December 5th 2018. Besides that, Hong Zhang loves photography. Among regular conference attendees, they would faintly remember him as the ‘small boy who always runs around with his camera’. We can proudly say he’s an alumnus of MAHSA University, and he was and still is actively volunteering in events organized by dental associations & societies. Frequently seen in the frontlines clicking away his camera. A little-known fact known outside the faculty: his camera is a gift by his classmates back in early 2015, for being the class representative. What a sweet gift put into incredible use!
