Melaka-Manipal Medical College is a leading medical and dental education provider with over 20 years of experience in healthcare education. The institution was conceived as a collaboration between the college and Manipal University in India as a by-product of former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's Look East policy. MMMC is the first Indo-Malaysian joint venture in the private medical education and was fully supported by the Ministry of Education and Manipal University. 1. Manipal University is the first private university in India that was established in 1953. Melaka-Manipal Medical college (Manipal University) has been in Malaysia since 1997. Manipal University is currently ranked first among private dental colleges, top 100 universities in BRICS (Brazil, India, China, Russia and South Africa) and is breaking into the QS World University Rankings.

2. Melaka Manipal Medical College is the first government to government (Malaysia and India) agreement to conduct a twinning programme for MBBS and BDS whereby the preclinical years is conducted in the dental institution of parent university for student to enjoy the diversity of cultures and exposure to health services in India. Clinical training is conducted in Malaysia so that students are well aware and familiar with the system in Malaysia.

3. Notable alumni from Manipal University includes Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, first Malaysian astronaut, Satya Nadella CEO of Microsoft and many more reputable figures around the world.

4. Melaka Manipal Medical College is situated in the heart of our historical city - Melaka, where the presence of historical buildings with elements of Portuguese and Dutch culture blended together attracts international students to study here to enrich students networking.
