MAHSA was established in the year 2005 by the Pro-Chancellor and Executive Chairman, Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa in Pusat Bandar Damansara, Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur with the belief that higher education in the field of healthcare is a vital cog in the development of the nation. Within a short time span, the success of MAHSA prompted a second campus to be set up at Jalan University, Kuala Lumpur. MAHSA continues its rise as a top level educational center, being upgraded from College to University College followed by University status in less than 10 years, a testament to the excellence and dedication of the University to achieving its vision in the field of healthcare. As of recently, the new 48 acres campus in Bandar Saujana Putra has become the mainstay campus of students and academic staffs alike. However, in MAHSA University the students are encouraged to ‘Be More’. Let’s take a look how!

1) MAHSA is proud to boast their state of the art simulation clinic facilities that is able to cater to the needs of their dental students ranging from the first year till the fifth year whilst maintaining a high level of quality.

2) MAHSA’s very own Dental Student’s Society (DSS) is an active society that aims to promote qualities like teamwork and sportsmanship through various annual activities such as the DSS Sports Cup, Carnivals and many more activities. This helps them bridge the gap between study life and student life, making for a fun learning environment.

3) Here in MAHSA University, the dental faculty consists of local and international staffs and students. This blend of community brings a sense of unity and enables sharing of experience in view of the different background and culture. Mixing with students and lecturers from abroad has improved the education experience for those involved.

4) MAHSA Dental Faculty is always organizing a great deal of workshops and conferences each year. These workshops encompass a few divisions like endodontic, implants, crown and bridge. Earlier this year, the faculty held the International Restodontic Conference and Exhibition to celebrate the 10th year of the commencement of the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DSS) programme.

5) MAHSA has a wide variety of in house laboratory with integrated Dental Technology, allowing for smooth and interactive learning experience for the students, as well as the improvement of technical and soft skills with the highly efficient Dental Surgery Assistant courses that provide the students with the opportunity to garner the necessary knowledge and hand skills in a highly modernized environment.

6) Last but not least, MAHSA has integrated digital teaching into its syllabus, equipped with advanced technologies such as CBCT, OPG and Anatomage Virtual Dissection Table. Not only does this improve the quality of teaching of the already highly trained academic staff, it also becomes a source of excellent exposure to the students as well.
