1. Balance has been an integral part of Joey’s life as he balances his performance both academically and artistically. Besides being a distinction and dean’s list student, he also represented LUC in the Interdental Physiology Quiz 2016. In addition to that, Joey is a talented artist. He specialises in drawing portraits, comics and constructing model kits.

Joey believes that creativity is important as it allows him to unwind, recharge and appreciate the beauty of life. Some of his creative contributions include publishing stories in the St. Xavier Institution school magazine, drawing paid portrait requests, participation in the Green Health Carnival 2015 flash mob group dance and video performances for LUC Dental Gala Nights 2015 and 2018. Emceeing is also one of Joey’s many talents. He developed his skill through public speaking. He was the emcee for both LUC Dental Gala Night 2014 and LUC Dental Student Colloquium 2018. Joey strongly believes in integrity, adaptability and never forgetting one’s roots. To him, upholding these values are key to embracing life’s challenges.

2. Hazwin Hazmal is a happy-go-lucky girl who loves to challenge herself by taking part in numerous events and competitions. She won first place in product design using recycled materials in PJ Environmental Expo 2015, first place in viral video competitions for World Oral Health Day 2016 and 2017, and first place in mascot design organized by LUC 2018. Dancing and zumba are some of her passions. She has been dancing since primary school and enjoys performing on stage. She believes that optimism is the key to lead a stress-free life and to stay young and healthy.

3. Nurul Farzana is not one to be messed with. She is a taekwondo black belt holder and is a fearless soul.
Although quiet, she broke her barriers and worked on improving her social skills by getting involved in more activities.

She was the secretary of Lincoln University College Dental Student Association (LUCDENSA) in 2017/2018. She has joined a myriad of activities such as overseas community projects, NDIVG, Inter- batch games and MDASCATE mentorship programme. In 2017, Nurul Farhana participated in LUC IDPQ and successfully made it to semi-finals. She was also the second runner- up in a wire bending competition held during the First LUC Dental Research Colloquium. Farzana says that her proactivity and efficiency has improved after being involved in all these activities. She hopes for more opportunities to arise before she graduates. She lives by Sabrina Bryan’s quote : “You can do anything as long as you have the passion, the drive, the focus and the support”

4. Neoh Kai Chyuen is a resilient young man. He never gives up once he sets his mind to achieve a task and has no problem persevering through hardships. He gained self- discipline from his stint in the brass band back in his high school days and it helps with the development of his good work ethics. Currently, he is
the vice president of LUCDENSA and the class representatives of his batch. Singing is one of his interests. He performed during the Annual Gala Night in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Besides that, he also has a big heart. He would not think twice to help anyone so long as it’s within his capabilities. He exercises few times a week to maintain his physique and keep his mind sharp.

5. Farhain Shafiqah Ramlie is a highly- driven ‘kampong’ girl who is forever developing her skills and talents. Since primary school, she has been involved in performances such as a traditional dance called Sumazau. Her most recent performance was at the Dental Gala Dinner in 2018. Farhain developed good handcrafting skills through sewing and doing DIY projects and utilizes her skills to make birthday gifts for her loved ones.

Her other strong suits are video editing and photo editing. She was a member in the media team of LUC’s Islamic Association in 2015/2016, LUC Dental Gala Dinner 2015 and one of her community projects. She was also one of the designers for LUCDENSA DENTAL DINNER 2014. Despite being active both academically and in co-curricular activities, she has always emerged as one of the top students. Farhain believes that everyone was born with specific talents and skills that need to be developed to make life’s journey beautiful.

6. Magdalene is a badminton enthusiast who has been playing since she was 10. She was once a state player for badminton too. In 2018, she joined National Dental Intervarsity Games and won in women singles. She always believes in herself and lives by her mantra : “You are braver than you think,more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine”. Chinese Calligraphy is one of her passions. She started calligraphy at 7 and has participated in many chinese calligraphy competitions. Despite being a busy student, she always makes time to practice her calligraphy writing as she finds it as a means to give her a peace of mind.
