3. Michelle is a professional photographer and owns MICHELLEGOH PHOTOGRAPHY. Within 2 years of her studies, she has done more than 100 photo shoots. She thinks that there is a purpose to the journey that she is going through.
In the midst of being a dental student and a photographer, time was the main obstacle for her because both the fields require a lot of time and effort. She manages to cope with the stressful workload because she knows that she loves them both and can never give them up! The similarity between both fields is that they both require meticulous focus and attention to details in order to create a perfect masterpiece. After all the hardships, she now has two identities - a dentist and also a photographer.

4. In 2018, Jia Yi won the Dentsply Sirona University Endodontic Case Contest(UECC) in Malaysia and was awarded to compete in the Asia Final Contest in Seoul, Korea at the 2018 International Federation of Endodontic Association(IFEA) World Endodontic Congress. She was nervous but still enjoyed herself when treating a highly complex tooth. As a student, it was a great experience presenting her case in front of professional judges and postgraduate students from different countries. Beside dentistry, she is passionate about piano and music. She got her Grade 8 ABRSM certificate when she was 15 and soon became a piano teacher when she was 17. Her motto in life is “Every day is a learning day; we are all on this journey together. Let’s shine!”

5. Jason is the co-founder of a local clothing brand, qstnmrk clothing co. He describes himself as 'a fashion enthusiast with the predilection for fancy art’. The seed of entrepreneurship was planted when he was looking for flashy clothings in 2017. Seeing the potential of the market in Malaysia and catalysed by his mother's encouragement, he decided to start his very own brand. When he first started out, the journey wasn’t smooth sailing. He would meet up with his business partner to discuss about their business strategies after a long, tiring day of clinic sessions and classes. “Throughout the process, looking for sponsorship is always the hardest”, he commented. He is extremely thankful for having an optimistic and highly motivational partner- Bernard. Jason's advice for his peers with similar ambition is - “to choose what you love, love what you choose.”.

6. Chang En is currently the design and publication officer of Malaysian Dental Students’ Association (MDSA) and also the batch representative of AIMST Dental Student Association(ADSA). Albeit being extremely busy, he is involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities, as he loves to explore and accomplish different tasks. Along the journey, he's made a lot of friends that helped him to broaden his perspectives, as well as to improve his social skills. Aside from mastering time management, he has also become a more proactive person. “Grab the chance before it slips away!”
