INTRODUCTION

Malaysian Dental Students’ Association (MDSA) will be organizing its second National Dental Students Clinical Skills Competition (formerly named as Malaysia’s Next Top Dentist) following the success of its inaugural competition in 2019. The competition will be organized in collaboration with SEGi University and sponsored by 3M Oral Care Malaysia.

The aim for this event is to provide a platform for students to showcase their clinical skills and unleash the creative side of dentistry through different types of competitions organized for the students. We hope to connect all 13 dental schools, whilst promoting healthy competitive spirit amongst the students through this competition. We are extremely honoured to be working with various notable associations in dentistry for this competition such as the Malaysian Association of Prosthodontics (MAP), Malaysian Association of Orthodontists (MAO), Malaysian Association of Aesthetic Dentistry (MAAD), Malaysian Association of Pediatric Dentistry (MAPD), Malaysian Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons (MAOMS), and Malaysian Association For Orofacial Disease (MAOFD). We are thrilled to be able to work with the Malaysian Endodontic Society (MES) to include an endodontic competition this year for the students.

3M Oral Care Malaysia has been organizing intervarsity competitions since 2009, and this year would mark their 11th Intervarsity competition. We hope to receive the support and participation from all universities to make this year’s competition a successful event.
