National Dental Students' Scientific Conference (NDSSC) 2020 Special Edition

The National Dental Students’ Scientific Conference (NDSSC) is an annual conference conducted by dental students under the guidance of the Dental Deans’ Council of Malaysia. The aim is to encourage dental students to interact, compete and build fellowship with peers from other dental schools in Malaysia. 

In the midst of Covid-19 pandemic NDSSC 2020 Special Edition  was held virtually via Airmeet on 2nd November 2020 to provide an opportunity and platform for dental students from 13 dental universities across Malaysia to exchange ideas and discuss the latest information in dental care and oral health through oral presentations of their research.

In the first virtual NDSSC, Oral Presentation was held and we achieved maximum participation of 26 teams from all 13 dental universities with each university sending two teams to participate in the competition.

All the abstracts of research have been compiled into an abstract booklet and were sent as reference  to judges and audience of NDSSC 2020 Special Edition on the day of the competition.

Winners of the Oral Presentation Competition were awarded medals and certificates of achievement with prizes worth RM 350 from our generous sponsors, while the rest of the participants were awarded certificates of participation. The names of winners have been announced on MDSA social media - Instagram as well.

This event has achieved great success with the receiving of many  positive comments from the participants and judges.
